The new Vaio Fit generation optimizes touch capabilities

Sony unveiled the next generation of Vaio Fit touchscreen laptops in its product launch event at IFA show last night despite the previous generation of this product just launched in the first quarter of this year.

Keeping the design of a traditional laptop, but to optimize the touch capacity, the screen part of Vaio Fit is arranged by Sony with a dual hinge system that it calls Multi-Flip to allow the screen to flip. Forward and fold back for use as a tablet.

The new Vaio Fit has 3 versions of 13A, 14A and 15A corresponding to the screen sizes of 13.3, 14 and 15.5 inches. In particular, the screen of the 15A version has the highest resolution of 2,880x1,620 pixels in Sony laptops currently, the other two models support Full HD resolution. All three models are equipped with screen technology like those on Sony's Bravia TV, Triluminos Display and X-Reality Mobile.

New generation Vaio Fit line has Haswell platform, users can choose to configure with Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, 4 or 8 GB RAM, can expand up to 16 GB, and internal memory is dark SSD multi 512 GB or 1 TB hybrid hard drive. In terms of graphics, the machine uses Intel HD 4400 chip and has the option of graphics card leaving Nvidia with Optimus technology.

All three versions have a front camera with 2 megapixel resolution, and the 13A version also has an additional camera using Exmor R sensor with 8 megapixel resolution similar to the Vaio Duo 13 .

Thanks to a unique hinge design and can be used as a tablet, Sony also brings N-Trig touch pen technology from the Vaio Duo models to this new generation Vaio Fit. Similar to the previous generation Vaio Fit, Sony is also fully equipped with connections from the standard RJ-45 LAN port, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi standard n and NFC.

The product will be marketed in October with 3 colors: black, white and pink. Price of the machine has not been announced.
