The AirVisual air quality measurement application disappears from Vietnam because of a 1-star storm from the user
Since the evening of October 6, AirVisual - the most popular air quality application currently has suddenly disappeared from the App Store as well as Google Play in Vietnam. When accessing the download link, users will see the message "This application is not currently available in your country".
In addition to not finding applications on the App Store and Google Play, Vietnamese users are also blocked on AirVisual's fanpage. But when using a virtual private network (VPN) from another country like Japan, users can still access normally.
Previously, AirVisual was the most downloaded air quality application on App Store and Play Store in Vietnam last week.
This air quality measurement app is appreciated by many users for its free, Vietnamese interface, continuous updates and aggregated data from many sources.
Currently, to refer to air quality information from AirVisual, Vietnamese users who have not installed the application on their phones can visit the application's website or download apk files to install on Android devices. Those who have installed the application before continue to use it normally, without being affected.
The AirVisual application development team said that many Facebook accounts have called followers to report apps on Google Play, App Store and Facebook because they think that putting Hanoi in the top 1 polluted city the most air in the world to get attention. AirVisual application is being rated 1 star and negative comments on many platforms.
However, according to the latest information from the application developer AirVisual, after AirVisual is hidden from Vietnamese users, they have received many responses and emails of interest from users. Therefore, AirVisual is working with Apple and Google to bring the application back to Vietnamese users on iOS and Android in the near future.
In addition to AirVisual, on the application store there are many other air quality monitoring applications such as Air Matter, PAM Air, BreezoMeter . users can download and use.
