When life becomes difficult, it is sometimes difficult to keep yourself from falling and sinking into the abyss of negative emotions. Have you ever wondered how to keep calm before the most eventful times while others can't? Do you want to follow the strategy to help calm down during the bad times of life?
Here are 9 simple things that you can do to overcome difficult times calmly . Invite you to consult!
1. Just cry if you need it - just for a moment
Some of us are often more emotional than others. However, repressing one's emotions is not always a good solution . If you try to repress your emotions, it will be like you're trying to squeeze a water balloon. You can try to do it for a while, but it still comes back to its original shape after all - and sometimes it even explodes. So, please cry for a while. Let your emotions flow so you can think more clearly.
2. Then stop crying and let your logical thinking be 'driver'
Once you get rid of your negative emotions, let your inner emotions sit on the passengers' position on the ride and logical thinking as the driver. The logic will help you feel more calm and focused during the chaos.
If you have eliminated all of your negative emotions after one or two cries, you can move on to " mental steps " and take the next step: solve the problem.
3. Focus on finding a solution
Keeping up with negative things does not change anything . Just keep saying that you have just lost your job or it has shocked you. So you've cried a few times with tears and then decided that now is the time to think logically. Now let's embark on our work.
Think about a career change or start your own business. Look at the things you can do to make the situation better. Let's do it!
4. If possible, pull yourself out of this situation
You may not have lost your job yet - but you hate your current job, the boss or the colleague where you work. Maybe you are in a misleading relationship or have no affection. If there is a possible way to pull yourself out of the negative situation you are facing, do it right away. The hesitation and the repetition of negative things will not make you feel happier or calmer . Sometimes, you just need to stay away from it your life will be more pleasant.
5. Look at the whole problem
Sometimes what we think is drama is ' not really ' a tragedy. It just seems like a part. As I look back on life, there are things that make people think that this world has ended but in fact they are like " stone steps on the water " for us to step up and continue.
I - the author of the article likes to ask myself a question: ' At the end of my life, did I look back on this issue and think it was important? Or just laugh when I remember how frustrated I was because of it? . If you can put your problem into a new perspective, you will definitely be able to stay calm. Of course, there will be really big problems in life. But most are not - just because we think so.
6. Remember that it will not last forever
One of my favorite quotes is: ' The only thing that doesn't change is change '. While this statement itself is sarcastic, its meaning is completely correct. Because no one stays in one place forever. It may understand that you are still in the same position but the time has passed. If you act to have a better life for yourself, you are affirming your own strength and taking the first step on the path to getting closer to happiness.
7. Ask for help
Unfortunately, many people think that speaking up for help is a sign of weakness. However that is not so! There is a question that all of us need to overcome their problems alone? Not.
When someone helps support you - mentally or in real action - will make you feel somewhat less burdened on your shoulders . Getting burdened means you can keep yourself calm, self-reliant and feel much more relieved.
8. Being aware of the problem may get worse
Another thing that keeps me calm during the hard times is to remember: " In life, even worse things can happen" .
You may have lost your job but at least you have health and family members can help you stand up with your own feet. Somewhere in the world now, there are many people who are facing problems that are much heavier than you. Obviously, you can't always feel the problem in this direction, but sometimes it's right.
9. Believe that everything will get better
Hope. Hope is all . If you don't believe everything will change, they won't change. I personally like to quote a sentence that Henry Ford said, " Even if you think you can - or think you can't - think in any direction, you're right ."
If you think things will get better, they will be better. If you think things will not change, they will remain the same. What you believe creates what you get . Keeping calm with the waves in life requires a training process, but one of us can do it. If you practice the above steps regularly, they will become your nature.
