Samsung will launch the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra under the name Galaxy Watch X, with an emphasis on battery life
Last month, it was reported that Samsung would likely remove the Galaxy Watch7 Pro smartwatch variant and replace it with the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra. Thus, Samsung's highly anticipated smart watch line will launch with 3 different versions, including the flagship model called Watch7 Ultra.
However, a new report confirms that at the last minute, Samsung decided to call the most high-end smartwatch it has created Galaxy Watch X, instead of the long-rumored name Galaxy Watch7 Ultra. There are many possible hypotheses for this decision, but the most plausible is that the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra is expected to go head-to-head with the Apple Watch Ultra, hence the removal of the "Ultra" name. is reasonable to give users a different impression.
Regardless of the final name, there is one fact that users can rest assured that the premium design and strength of the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra's specifications will remain consistent with Samsung. That means you will have a smartwatch that is water resistant up to 100m (330ft), similar to the Apple Watch Ultra and Ultra 2. Note that water resistance is mentioned in terms of pressure level, however, Actual immersion depth will vary. In the case of the Apple Watch Ultra, the watch's maximum water resistance is 40m (130ft), and Samsung's product is probably similar.
Another highlight that needs to be mentioned on the Galaxy Watch X is battery life. Reports say the Galaxy Watch X will have better battery life, up to 100 hours with a 578mAh battery, which is equivalent to four days of continuous use. For comparison, the current generation Galaxy Watch6 Classic has a claimed 40-hour battery life, while the Watch5 Pro, has a larger battery (590mAh) but only provides a maximum usage time of up to 80 hours. Ultra 2 has a battery life of only 36 hours with a capacity of 564mAh.
Thus, if the leaked source is true, Samsung Galaxy Watch X will be one of the high-end smartwatch models with the best battery life on the market. This is not impossible due to the presence of the 3nm Exynos W1000 chipset developed by Samsung specifically for the Galaxy Watch Equipped with a larger capacity battery.
Last but not least, Samsung is said to announce the Galaxy Watch7 series along with the Galaxy Watch Unpacked as originally intended).
