What is the Topping in Cookie Run: Kingdom?

Topping is the equipment system in Cookie Run: Kingdom that gives cookies additional stats. Each cookie can equip 5 Toppings, with a new Topping slot unlocking every 5 levels, from level 15 to 30.

Toppings have sets, so if equipping a certain number (usually 3 or 5) with the same Topping, the cookie will get some bonus stats. For example, Searing Raspberry Topping will provide attack ability, but when upgrading it can get Cooldown, HP or other stats as a small reward.

All Toppings have size ratings: XS, S, and M. The larger the Topping size, the better the stats.

These greatly increase the power level, so it's important to place the best Toppings possible on your cookies.

How to collect Topping

Players can find Topping mainly from doing Balloon Expedition and completing levels. Balloon Expeditions' harder and higher levels will result in more quality Toppings.

If you're looking for a specific Topping, look at the levels you have access to and play those levels over and over until you get the Topping you need.

Upgrade with Topping shards and coins

When touching Topping, there is an option to equip, remove or upgrade it. Everyone can upgrade higher for the Toppings and at levels 6, 9, and 12 will get a random bonus stat.

This will cost Topping shards and coins, with each upgrade getting more expensive. During the upgrade there is still the possibility of failure, and loss of Topping shards and coins.

As you continue to upgrade, the success rate will decrease. If there are many coins and Topping shards, let it automatically upgrade its Topping.

The player can collect Topping shards from the same places where Topping is found (mainly from doing hot air balloon expeditions and completing levels). Unnecessary Toppings can be broken down into small pieces.

The effect of each type of Topping

As can be seen from the table above, the Topping that the player chooses to use determines the strength of the Cookie in the battlefield.

If you want your tank-type Cookie to be stronger when attacking, a build consisting of 3 Searing Raspberry and 2 Solid Almond is a good choice.

If you want to strengthen the defense of a Cookie that spends a lot of time in the front row, then Hard Walnut is the right choice.

Each cookie has their own set of best Toppings, but more cookies are constantly being added to the game, making it difficult for players to keep up. In general, cookies of the same type use the same Topping.
