Huawei's new 1TB hard drive is waterproof, automatically backing up data from smartphones

At the recent product introduction event, Huawei not only introduced high-end, impressive devices like Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20X, Mate 20 Porsche Design, Watch GT, Band 3 Pro or Nano Memory Card - The format of the new memory card has also surprised the tech industry by launching "ST310-S1" - an exciting external hard drive solution.

ST310-S1 hard drive, measuring 136mm x 29mm, 270 grams is specially designed to work with the new Mate 20 series.

Outside, the fabric-covered product looks like a wireless charger. But inside this device contains a 1TB hard drive that can automatically back up data from the smartphone. ST310-S1 hard drives are compatible with fast chargers 5V2A, 9V2A, 5V4.5A but do not support Huawei's new 40W SuperCharge standard.

Currently, the new ST310-S1 hard drive only supports automatic content backup from the newly introduced Mate 20 smartphone. But Huawei also added that the list of supported devices will be expanded in the future.

ST310-S1 will be sold by Huawei on October 26, but the official sale price has not been disclosed yet.
