These 4 technologies can help Samsung create 100% full-blown smartphones, no 'rabbit ears'
Recently, Ice Universe, a Twitter account specializing in information leakage on smatphone Android, has revealed some information about the Galaxy S10, the product marking the 10th anniversary of Samsung's launch of Galaxy smartphones. Accordingly, the new product will have a completely new design, borderless screen, no rabbit ears but still integrated ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, front camera and voice speaker.
And here are the key technologies that may be adopted by Samsung for the new product introduced by the company in a caucus event with its leading partners over the past week.
FoD (Fingerprint on Display) - Fingerprint sensor on the screen : Unlike fingerprint sensors that are still used by companies today (using optical technology to effectively capture your fingerprints), Samsung's fingerprint sensor uses Ultrasonic pulses (Ultrasonic Pulses) feedback to reconstruct 3D fingerprints of users' fingerprints with high accuracy. This ultrasonic fingerprint sensor technology is expected to appear on Galaxy S10.
HoD (Haptics on Display) - vibrating feedback on the screen : In addition to standard feedback vibration, this new HoD technology also gives users the feeling of physical buttons right on the screen.
SoD (Sound on Display) - technology for cross-screen audio transmission : This new technology uses the screen to transmit sound, which eliminates the need for voice speakers.
UPS (Under Panel Sensor) - sensor technology under the ground plate : This technology allows parts such as camera lenses and face detection sensors to see through the screen so it can be hidden and placed in the back of the screen. This is the most interesting technology, a breakthrough that eliminates the camera hidden tricks as seen on Vivo Nex S and Oppo Find X.
If Samsung applies these technologies to their products, it is possible to create 100% full-blown smartphones.
