Huawei donated 500,000 masks to Japan to join hands to combat COVID-19
Besides Japan, Huawei said it will soon send aid to Ireland in the near future.
Recently, Huawei announced that it will donate 500,000 masks to medical organizations in Japan. According to a report from Kyodo News , the company donated its first shipment of 200,000 masks to two hospitals in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
Meanwhile, the remaining number of masks has been planned to donate to other affected areas in the country. Besides Japan, the Chinese manufacturer also said it would send medical equipment to Ireland - the second country in Europe (after Italy) to receive support from Huawei.
Of course, Huawei is not the only Chinese company that donates medical supplies to foreign countries. Lenovo, Alibaba, Xiaomi, OPPO and a few other manufacturers have done this before. Huawei Japan Chairman Wang Jianfeng said he hoped to help Japanese people overcome difficult times, in the context of the complicated COVID-19 epidemic.
Outside of Japan, Huawei has sent aid to Italy and has even confirmed it will donate "personal protective equipment", as well as "technology equipment" to Ireland.
