How to Get the Amulet of Immortality and What It Really Does in Minecraft

If you want to become truly immortal in the survival world of Minecraft, the Totem of Undying is an indispensable item. Although this is not a common item in the game, once you know how to find and hunt it, you can completely turn this rare item into the most valuable 'protection' for your adventures.

How to find the Amulet of Immortality in Minecraft

The Amulet of Immortality only drops when you kill an Evoker — a mage variant of the Illager faction. Whenever an Evoker is killed, whether you use an enchanted sword or not, he will always drop an Amulet of Immortality.

Currently, there are two places to find Evoker:

1. The Villa In The Forest
2. Village raids
3. Easiest way to hunt Immortal Charm: Join the raid

Raids are the fastest and most efficient way to hunt this Charm. You can trigger the raid at any village, but you need to have the Bad Omen effect first by:

1. Kill Pillager Bannerman (the flag bearer in the Pillager group)
2. Or find the Bad Omen Potion in the Courtrooms

The Bad Omen effect lasts for 100 minutes, and when you enter the village during this time, the attack will automatically start. During the attacks, Evoker will appear with other Illagers, and every time you kill an Evoker, you are guaranteed to receive 1 Invulnerability Charm.

Find Evoker in the Jungle Mansion

In addition to Raids, Evokers also reside permanently in the Forest Mansion - a randomly generated giant structure that only appears in the Dark Forest. However, finding a Forest Mansion is relatively difficult, as it is very rare and often located deep in the forest. If you are patient enough to find and break in, Evokers are the target you need to defeat to get the Totem.

So what does the Immortal Amulet really do?

The Amulet of Immortality is the only life-saving item in Minecraft. But note:

1. It only works when held in the main or secondary hand.
2. If left in the toolbar or inventory alone, the charm will not work.

When you are holding a Totem and receive critical damage that could kill you, the Totem will immediately activate, giving you a narrow escape. At that moment:

1. Restore health with the Rejuvenation Potion II effect for 40 seconds
2. Gain Fire Resistance I for 4 seconds
3. Get Gold Heart II for 5 seconds

The Immortal Charm will disappear after activation, but in return you have a chance to continue surviving and turn the tide.
