Half-Life 3 in development?

Meme with the content Half-Life 3 confirmed! has appeared on the internet for a long time, and is only considered gossip because Valve has never once confirmed it after many years have passed.

Recently, however, a famous Valve data miner claimed to have found evidence that the developer is actually working on the long-awaited next version of the first-person shooter. The most successful in this history.

Not long ago, Eurogamer reported that voice actress Natasha Chandel's online resume had a listing for a Valve game she worked on under the codename Project White Sands. Many believe it is a reference to Half-Life 3.

It wouldn't be worth mentioning so famous Valve data miner Tyler McVicker posted a video on his YouTube channel (via GameSpot) in which he claims that Project White Sands is actually a new Half-Life project is being developed.

McVicker claims that in 2021, the game's codename was also discovered within Valve's code lists of other games, specifically with the identifier 'HLX':

'In the meantime, I've been slowly digging into this story. HLX is a confusing project. This appears to be an incomplete version of the Half-Life game. It's difficult to draw conclusions right now. But if you ask me do I think this is Half-Life 3? Probably yes'.

After all the rumors, the biggest question that remains unanswered is "Will Valve ever release a real Half-Life 3 game?" Fans have been waiting for Half-Life 2: Episode 2's thrilling ending since the game's release in October 2007, more than 16 years ago. In 2020, Valve released the VR exclusive game Half-Life: Alyx, set before the events of Half-Life 2, containing the undecided launch of Half-Life 3.
