How map-spawn pet purchases work

Many pets appear in the area between the lobby and player gardens with a price and a countdown. Approach the pet and buy it with the required currency before the timer expires. The pet then needs to reach your garden.

During the trip, another player may be able to take the pet by paying a higher price. Escort a valuable purchase directly to your garden instead of leaving it unattended. Pets offered through eggs, events, guild rewards, or trading follow their own rules, so check the source shown in the current update.

Unlock more equipped pet slots

A new player can normally equip three pets. The original Sheckle upgrades shown in this guide are:

200,000 Sheckles: unlock the fourth slot.
1,000,000 Sheckles: unlock the fifth slot.

Choose pets by your immediate goal

For early progression

Deer directly supports faster crop growth, while Bunny reduces travel time and Owl improves nighttime awareness. These bonuses are easy to understand and useful before a garden has expensive mutation-focused pets.

For harvesting convenience

Monkey handles ripe fruit collection. Robin can provide seeds from fruit, making it more valuable when seed acquisition matters. Compare the time saved with the pet's purchase price rather than buying solely for rarity.

For higher-value crops

Golden Dragonfly targets Gold outcomes and Unicorn targets Rainbow outcomes. Their value increases when you already have enough crops and income for chance-based bonuses to matter.

For defense

Bee is the practical map-purchase defender in this group. Black Dragon and Ice Serpent are stronger status rewards in the versions covered here, but their acquisition conditions may not be available in every update.

For stealing

Raccoon supports an aggressive play style and is not the best first investment for a player who mainly wants faster growth. Choose it only if you regularly use its nighttime stealing ability.

Confirm that you have a free slot or know which equipped pet will be replaced.
