Retail partners showed a 30% increase in the average shopping cart size, Alegre said, pointing out the initial results from the Shopping Actions program.

Ulta Beauty's average value has increased by 35% since its partnership with Google, CEO Mary Dillon said. Ulta sells makeup and skin care products from brands such as MAC, Estee Lauder and Clinique.

In the last six months, Target said that the number of shoppers in the Google Express shopping cart has increased by an average of nearly 20% by connecting to Google.
