Google released official images of Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro Fold

If there's one company that's not good at keeping things secret, it's Google. Renderings of the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro Fold have been leaked for a while now, including information that the Pixel 9 Pro will be the smaller Pro variant and that Google will call its second folding phone the Pixel 9 Pro Fold instead of Pixel Fold 2. To make those who like to "slip in" more happy, Google revealed the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro Fold in a teaser video.

Previous leaks and renders about the stacked lenses have been clear. The back of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold looks a bit strange due to the camera module. There are two stacked dual lenses with microphone (?) and flash.

The body is not flat, with curves running towards the hinge providing cohesion.

It appears that the protrusion is metal and part of the hinge, which is an interesting design choice, but may make removing the back glass for repairs more difficult.

The top bezel when opened has been cut quite neatly. Although they are not as thin as the Galaxy Z Fold 6's bezels, they are now more symmetrical. Furthermore, the top of the device has 4 antenna lines and speakers. The color choice appears to be porcelain white.

Pixel 9 Pro revealed

The Pixel 9 Pro has been rumored since last year and all the leaks and rumors suggesting the Pro will be slightly smaller, as Google bringing back the XL variant seems to be confirmed.

The 9 Pro seems to have a boxy design reminiscent of the iPhone 12 and 13 series. The camera area with 3 cameras and temperature sensor is retained from the 8 Pro.

Furthermore, the Pixel 9 series will arrive with the Tensor G4, and many rumors point to improved cameras, battery life, and charging speeds. Google continues to heavily market its next generation of Pixel devices with Gemini AI, so many of the Pixel's exclusive AI features will appear on the Pixel 9 series.

Fold will launch on August 13. The foldable device page is now available on the Google Store.
