According to Endgadget , this project was started by Google after receiving a request through Google Ideas ( another project that offers solutions to social problems ). Made by social activists in the Middle East, Shield helps small websites to " deliver content through Google " to combat DDoS attacks.
Currently, the new Project Shield project is in the " closed " testing phase: the parties wishing to participate will have to register to receive an invitation from the homepage of this project .
