Yesterday, FPT International Telecommunication Company Limited (FTI) announced that it would terminate the .VN Domain Name Registrar's contract with VNNIC from January 21, 2018, and issue a new registration plan to convert the registrar. to ensure customer rights.

Previously, at the request of FTI, VNNIC has temporarily suspended the function of registering domain names of FPT from December 1, 2017 and asked this company to introduce customers who wish to register for a new domain name .VN. to other Registrars.

Other domain registrars have also received requests to receive, facilitate and support customers who wish to register and transfer domain names from FPT Registrars to maintain and use.

FTI said that for those who own the .VN domain names that are maintaining and managing, they will choose a reputable new poster with full financial, technical and internal capabilities. VNNIC's official Registrar system to transfer the management and maintenance of customer domain names. All activities of domain names and Domain Name System - DNS (in maintaining domain declarations) will not be interrupted.

On January 18, 2014, the new Registrar's complete information will be notified to customers. All customer feedback will be received until the end of 31 January 2018.

During the period from 1 January 2018 to March 20, 2018, the conversion will be carried out if the customer agrees to convert to a new Registrar appointed by FTI. After this time, the conversion of Registrar of customers will be appointed and deployed by VNNIC. All conversion activities do not cause interruption or incurred costs for customers.
