Discover the terrible war between two giant black holes in the universe
Recently, scientists have discovered a horrific battle of two giant black holes in the galaxy Markarian 1018 , 555 million light-years from Earth. As a result of this war, the universe suddenly became darker.
Markarian 1018 Milky Way was first discovered in 1970. According to astronomers, accretion occurs (accretion). That is, a black hole has grown up by absorbing surrounding matter and discharging it.
This makes the Markarian galaxy contain it brighter, brighter than both quasars and Seyfert galaxies. Therefore, Markarian is classified as Seyfert I , meaning that it belongs to a group of galaxies emitting ultraviolet rays and X-rays.

However, when observing the Markarian galaxy from the European Southern Observatory's (ESO) observatory with a huge telescope (Very Large Telescope) last year, astronomers were shocked to see the light emitted. This galaxy has gradually disappeared.
"We were surprised to see a rare change in Markarian 1018 ," said Rebecca McElroy from the University of Sydney (Australia), leading the research team.
What happened so this galaxy changed its brightness?
According to the international team, the central black supernova of Markarian 1018 is being fueled by another black hole. The battle between the "source" of these two giant black holes makes the galaxy become darker, the universe is darker than usual.

The researchers hypothesized that Markarian 1018 and another galaxy had come together, and "mixed up" from billions of years ago.
What happens if two black holes get closer?
A double black supernova might be created if two black holes approach each other due to gravity. The merger process will cause a big explosion, launching into the universe the most brilliant gravitational waves in the universe.
According to the Smithsonian Institute of Astronomical Studies, if two black holes merged, the material surrounding the black holes would be violently swirling, resulting in a region of superheated dust and gas formed.

Ripples in space - time is created when two black holes merge.
This merging process also creates ripples in space - time .
Currently, researchers continue to use NASA's Hubble telescope and Chandra observatory with the support of many other telescopes to monitor these particular galaxies.
