It's worth noting that Ubisoft hasn't announced the required RAM and storage space, but it's safe to assume that the game will require around 100GB of free space to install. 16GB of RAM should be enough, but if you want a smoother experience, 32GB is ideal.

Assassin's Creed Shadows' system requirements aren't too demanding, which is a welcome sign. However, with PC games, optimization is always the most important factor.

The Assassin's Creed series has always been captivating thanks to its ability to vividly recreate history in an open world, where you can immerse yourself in meticulously constructed scenes, interspersed with dramatic assassinations and life-and-death battles.

If your PC doesn't meet the minimum requirements, upgrading your GPU and RAM is a must. If you already have a powerful machine with an RTX 50 Series GPU, investing in a high-end monitor will help you experience sharper images. Don't forget to invest in a cooling system, too.

How is Assassin's Creed Shadows different from other versions?

As mentioned, the Assassin's Creed series has undergone major changes over the years: from stealth and parkour gameplay in the early games, to deep role-playing games (RPGs) in recent games, even featuring naval combat.

The most recent installment, Assassin's Creed Mirage, attempted to bring the gameplay back to its roots but was not well received. So Ubisoft decided to bring back many of the RPG elements in Assassin's Creed Shadows, along with some interesting mechanics like base building and especially the dual character system.

In the game, you will be able to alternately control two characters:

  1. Yasuke – A loyal samurai warrior who specializes in swordplay and fights in the spirit of Bushido.
  2. Naoe – A female ninja, uses assassination skills to complete missions in the dark.

This means the game will have a balance between direct combat action gameplay and artistic stealth assassinations.

Still, one of the biggest draws of Assassin's Creed is its open-world exploration, and since we've waited so long to set foot in feudal Japan, Ubisoft needed to make this world a true masterpiece.
