Lee's comments (who worked for Apple 10 years ago and just switched to Google this year) have added to the myriad of rumors about Apple's ultra-slim tablet device. Perhaps the product will incorporate e-reader functions and web surfing. The speculation about the device has grown from a blog post published by Financial Times last week before citing an anonymous source saying Apple plans to announce the masterpiece at an event in San Francisco. on January 26, 2010.
Lee predicted in the latest article that the new device will be half as light as the MacBook Air. However, this is still unclear as to whether the information was speculated by Lee or from a friend of Lee. Lee also cited speculation that Apple could shake hands with network operators in the US to reduce product costs. Network operators are willing to widely use a model similar to cell phones (such as the iPhone). Accordingly, buyers of a device will receive a discount but will have to sign a contract to use mobile services.
Currently, Lee has not yet responded to questions sent by e-mail about the comments he made above.
