The other platform is for ultra-thin laptops using low-voltage processors that increase battery life like the two-core Turion II Neo and Athlon II Neo chips with the single-core chip Athon II Neo and V Series.
Both platforms use the M880G chipset, integrated ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 graphics card and 5000 Serie graphics card.
According to AMD, the new platform will be offered in 2010 to help laptops that can watch high-definition video play games with battery life up to 7 and 7.5 hours respectively.
The new generation of notebooks based on AMD's new platforms will soon be launched by manufacturers and all have VISION icons on their phones.
