Zalo exceeded 1 million downloads on Google Play

According to statistics from the Google app store, the free messaging application Zalo has just surpassed 1 million downloads on Android. At the beginning of May, the application has just announced 2 million users.

With 1 million downloads on Android devices is not much, but this can see a positive signal for the domestic programming industry in general as well as OTT applications developed by Vietnamese people in particular.

This is even more meaningful when Zalo is a relatively young mobile application, officially available on the Google Play app store in about 6 months. This app is also rated 4.5 stars by Google Play users and always receives positive comments through each updated version.

According to Appannie, Zalo currently ranks No. 2 on the ranking of the most downloaded free social networking applications in Vietnam so far. At the same time, the only representative for OTT pure Vietnamese applications has the highest downloads.

Currently Zalo is available on popular operating systems iOS , Android , Nokia Symbian with about 20 million messages per day and the number of users at the same time up to 400 thousand people.
