Toshiba officially launched the first mobile station computer with 4K screen
Introduced for the first time at CES, Toshiba today officially unveiled the Tecra W50, the first mobile station computer to support 4K Ultra HD screen with a starting price from 2249 USD.
The most outstanding feature of the Tecra W50 is of course the option of owning a 4K screen at a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels on a 15.6-inch screen using TruBrite technology. Here, users can also request lower resolutions such as Full HD 1080p with the same LED backlight and 16: 9 aspect ratio.
In terms of configuration, users with the highest processor option are quad-core Intel Core i7-4800MQ chips with 3.8 Ghz clock, 8 - 32 GB RAM while with hard drive storage, users can select HDD and SSD at capacities of 256 GB - 1 TB.
In addition, this mobile station model is also available with 4 USB ports, DTS Studio audio, LED backlight with numeric key sequence, optical drive (DVD SuperMulti and Blu-ray) and fingerprint reader. It also supports a connection dock for use with Hi-Speed Port Replicator III.
