On August 23, 2018, the AAG sea cable line broke down S1H branch, causing the Internet connection from Vietnam to be affected. And today (September 7), the AAG Cable Operations Center informs Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in Vietnam of the progress of fixing and fixing this problem.

Thus, according to this new plan, the AAG cable route will be interrupted for another 4 days and the total time for AAG interruption is 20 days from the incident on August 23, 2018.

A representative of an Internet service provider (ISP) in Vietnam has confirmed that the AAG international fiber optic cable has a problem. However, at present, ISPs in Vietnam have not received specific notice of the AAG cable operation center about this incident so they still cannot determine the cause of the incident as well as the position position cable error.

The AAG international marine optical cable route, 20,191 km long, is the first cable to directly connect Southeast Asia with the US. AAG uses optical wavelength grafting technology (DWDM) and has a design capacity of up to 2 Terabit / sec.

In the last year, APG sea cable has had 2 incidents in turn on June 20 and December 23, 2017.
