Supertanker, 'super firefighter' is trying to save the Amazon

Over the weekend, Supertanker - a Boeing 747-400, a large firefighting aircraft was sent to Amazon to extinguish the fire that is most concerned at the moment.

According to the group managing the large fire-fighting aircraft, Global SuperTanker said, Supertanker has successfully made three firefighting water tankers, and is preparing for the fourth.

The Boeing 747 Supertanker can carry 70,000 liters of water or flame retardant, dubbed the unique wonder of the fire industry. The Supertanker first 'fought' was in 2009 in Spain, during a major fire in Cuenca. At the present time, only one Supertanker is in operation.

To discharge fire water, Supertanker can fly at an altitude of only 120-240 meters, with a speed of 260 km / h. The Supertanker can bring fire water down to the same speed as the rainfall's drop speed thanks to its pressure-release system.

Advanced sprinkler system and huge water capacity help Supertanker can discharge fire water continuously for 4.8 km, with the width of 'artificial rain' up to 46 meters.

With a maximum speed of 970km / h, in just 2.5 hours Supertanker can be present anywhere in the United States and appear in any part of the Earth in less than 20 hours.

In the past, Supertanker has appeared in Iraq, Chile, Israel to put out the biggest fires in history. Last year, Supertanker also contributed greatly to the big fire in California.
