For photography, the new lens achieves a speed 3 times faster than the previous generation, focusing on moving subjects with high precision. In addition, the FE 85mm F1.4 GM II also has a subject tracking performance improved by up to 7 times.
The FE 85mm GM II incorporates a linear motor, which reduces focus breathing and supports focus breathing compensation when mounted on a camera body. The lens has two customizable focus hold buttons and an AF/MF switch for flexible operation.
