Series of cheap ultrabook coming soon in 2013
In 2013, computer manufacturers will launch a mid-range ultrabook for about $ 699 to boost sales.
According to Digitimes , computer makers are preparing to launch a mid-range ultrabook for about $ 699. However, to maintain profitability, they will also continue to sell high-end ultrabooks for more than $ 1,000.
The lower-priced ultrabook models will not be made from high-quality materials but instead of fiberglass reinforced plastics or a combination of metal and plastic. Mid-range Ultrabooks will use traditional batteries, lack of touch screens for Windows 8 and use thin hard drives or hybrid HDD / SSD drives.
For comparison, high-end ultrabooks will come with Lithium Polymer batteries, touch screens and a solid aluminum body or carbon fiber.
