Samsung Galaxy Buds2 launched: With ANC, up to 20 hours battery, priced at only 149 USD
The market for true wireless headphones (true wireless) is growing rapidly in the past few years, with the presence of a series of big names and products with increasingly improved quality. .
Within the framework of the annual Galaxy Unpacked 2021 product launch event, Samsung has officially launched Galaxy Buds2, a true wireless headset model that succeeds last year's Galaxy Buds + series, but has added many advanced features that are inherently high-end. found only on the more expensive Galaxy Buds Pro line. So what's remarkable about this unique wireless headset? Let's find out right here.
Design
Galaxy Buds2 owns the familiar rounded design that has been a tradition on the Galaxy Buds lines. However, Samsung said that the housing of the headset has been added with more 'smooth' curved lines in 'important' positions. This not only helps to provide a more comfortable, snug fit, but also supports improved sound insulation. In addition, this is also the lightest headset model in the Galaxy Buds family, with a weight of only 5g for each housing side. For comparison, the Galaxy Buds2 is about 50% smaller and 20% lighter than its predecessor, the Galaxy Buds+.
Samsung Galaxy Buds2 will be sold with four relatively youthful color options: Olive, Graphite, White and Lavender. However, that's just the color of the headphones and the inside of the charging case. The entire outer shell of the charging box of all 4 versions will be the same white color.
In general, the overall design and color scheme of the Galaxy Buds2 is simple but quite beautiful, and unique and harmonious, bringing a new feeling to the user. However, not everyone likes this Samsung color scheme, especially since the outer shell of the box will only be white.
Specifications and features
The biggest highlight on the Galaxy Buds2 is the presence of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). In fact, this is also Samsung's cheapest active noise canceling (ANC) wireless headset at the moment. Previously, users had to spend $ 199 to own this feature on Galaxy Buds Pro.
Galaxy Buds2 is still equipped with a configuration of 2 drivers for one side of the housing like the previous version. There is one driver in charge of the bass range (bass), mid range (mid), and the other driver for the high range (treb) with a diameter of 6.3mm. Besides, there is a 3-microphone system (2 external and 1 internal), accompanied by voice recognition technology (VPU). VPU technology equipped on each headset will work with the accelerometer to automatically detect when you are talking and switch off ANC mode, thereby allowing the ability to talk as well as hear sounds from the environment. better. When you finish speaking, ANC will automatically be reactivated.
Samsung also notes that the ANC on the Galaxy Buds 2 is UL Verification certified, which helps reduce external background noise by up to 98% at 110.36 Hz - a very impressive number. While Ambient Mode will have 3 levels for users to choose from. Other notable features include the ability to automatically switch between compatible Galaxy devices, customizable touch controls, and support for the Galaxy Buds PC app.
Each Galaxy Buds2 headset is equipped with a 61mAh battery, while the charging case has a 472 mAh battery - the numbers have not changed compared to the Galaxy Buds Pro. This battery provides up to 5 hours of music playback with ANC on and 7.5 hours with ANC off. The stand box will have a 472mAh battery, providing up to 20 hours of use when ANC is on (29 hours when ANC is off), according to the announcement from Samsung. The headset supports fast charging via USB-C and Qi wireless charging.
Price and opening time
The Galaxy Buds2 will start shipping August 27 for $149, unchanged from the Galaxy Buds+ at launch.
