Out of oxygen supply, burning of Fat Protein can kill cancer cells
The new discovery suggests that a doorway to treat cancer cells may cause future problems.
Previously, advanced treatments such as stopping oxygen supply in cancer cells caused cancer cells to stop growing and die slowly through metal injection methods, freezing blood vessels that stopped supplying oxygen. It is applied by medical experts and brings positive results to some patients with cancer.

However, it doesn't just stop there when recently a group of researchers from Harvard Medical School have found a way to destroy cancer cells in a way no one expected. It is to find and destroy fat proteins located in cancer cells .
"In addition to blood, oxygen, fat protein is one of the nutrients that feed cancer cells ," said lead study author Marcia Haigis, Associate Professor of Cell Biology.
The type of fat protein found by the group is prolyl hydroxylase 3 (PHD3) , which balances, and absorbs, provides fat that nourishes cancer cells that grow and spread.
And then, the team started burning PHD3 protein in mice, the results showed that cancer cells almost fell into a state of starvation and signs of stopping development. This is considered an important prerequisite for studying the application of destroying and applying the treatment of cancer cells on the human body.
The research has just been published in the journal Molecular Cell.
