Prerequisites
- You must have admin rights on the system.
- You must login to SupportAssist.
If a newer version is available, SupportAssist will automatically upgrade to a new version. You can also manually check and upgrade SupportAssist manually.
Steps to update SupportAssist on Dell machines
1. Open SupportAssist.
2. In the upper right corner of the SupportAssist window, click the settings icon, then select About SupportAssist. SupportAssist automatically checks for a newer version.
- If there is no update, the check mark icon is green ( ) and a message indicating the latest SupportAssist version is installed.
- If there is a newer version of SupportAssist, the download icon ( ) and the Update Now link will be displayed.
3. Click Update Now.
The latest version of SupportAssist will be downloaded and installed on the system.
