Change DNS to 1.1.1.1 on Windows 10
Right-click the network icon on the taskbar and select Network and Sharing Center.
Select Wi-Fi or Ethernet in the left column , then select Change adapter options:
Select the Wi-Fi or wired network you want to set up DNS for, right-click and select Properties:
Click on IPv4 and select Properties . If your network uses IPv6, select IPv6.
Set up IPv4 or IPv6 as shown in the image and enter the following address:
- IPv4: Select "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter 1.1.1.1 in the top line and 1.0.0.1 in the bottom line, then click OK .
- IPv6: Select "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter 2606:4700:4700::1111 in the top line and 2606:4700:4700::1001 in the bottom line, then click OK .
Set up DNS 1.1.1.1 on Windows 7/8 and earlier.
Right-click on the network icon in the taskbar -> Select Open Network and Internet settings .
In the Network and Sharing Center window, select Change adapter settings or click the network icon to open the Network Connections window .
In the Network Connections window, right-click the network icon -> select Properties.
In the Wi-Fi Properties window, under Networking, select Internet Protocol Version IPv4 or IPv6 .
Select " Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter the new DNS address -> click OK and restart your browser.
- IPv4 addresses: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
- IPv6 addresses: 2606:4700:4700::1111 and 2606:4700:4700::1001
