Google tested the new operating system Fuchsia OS on Pixelbook

Google has been testing the new operating system Fuchsia OS for over a year. Fuchsia is a Google product, which is then put up as open source code for the community to contribute. At this point, Fuchsia is still a mysterious OS that the technology giant has not provided details.

Chrome Unboxed said Google has released documents to allow developers to download Fuchsia on Pixelbook.

This is not an ordinary developer OS because you will need 2 machines to download OS on Pixelbook. Fuchsia is still in the process of development and has little information about the interface and functionality.

It's also quite interesting when Google selects its own Pixelbook for testing. Fuchsia is mainly used on embedded systems such as wearable devices or IoT but testing has also extended to Acer's NUC and Switch Alpha 12 Chromebooks.

Fuchsia is built from Goole's microkernel Zircon kernel, not the Linux kernel still used on Android and Chrome OS. It is unclear why Google created this new OS as well as which device it will run on. Because of testing on both Chromebooks, many people predicted it would continue the Andromeda project.

It is said that Google is working on the Pixel laptop, which combines Android and Chrome OS, called Andromeda. But instead, they announced support for the Android application on Chrome OS, not the new OS. As Google continues to test and build Fuchsia, we will know more about this mysterious OS.
