The best kid characters in One Piece
Although they don't appear often, some young characters have influenced the journey of Luffy and his friends. These children often only appear for a single arc, but they provide the motivation for the main characters to act. Their contributions may seem small, but they are important to the Straw Hats.
These kids play different roles depending on the situation. Some even become the focus of their own storylines. Here are the coolest kids in One Piece: .
Rika
Rika is from the East Blue and was one of the first characters to help Luffy and Zoro when they first started their adventure. For those who don't know, Rika was the girl who fed Zoro rice balls when he was captured by the Marines. This small act of kindness almost got her executed.
Although she has not appeared in the main storyline since then, she was one of the first to support Luffy and Zoro, and her presence served as a bridge between the two, creating one of the strongest relationships in the entire series. It is through Rika that the audience is able to learn more about the captain and his companion.
Aisa
The Skypeia arc may be loved or hated by fans, but anyone who has watched or read it knows that it has a lot of interesting characters. Aisa is a young Shandia girl who befriends the crew as they explore Sky Island. It is through her help that the Straw Hats are able to travel through the clouds and learn about the civil war on the island.
Although she doesn't have much to do in the Skypeia arc, Aisa represents the unity of the Shandia and the future of the island as she is the only Shandia born with Mantra (Observation Haki). She is also the reason the Straw Hats have a sailing ship called the Going Merry II.
Mocha
Punk Hazard is the Straw Hats' first major obstacle in the New World. Not only is it a wasteland destroyed by the battle between the two admirals, but it is also home to Caesar Clown's laboratory, where all sorts of inhumane experiments are conducted. It is also where the Straw Hats encounter Mocha and a group of kidnapped children.
Mocha and her friends are the driving force for many of the Straw Hats in this story, but Mocha stands out for her resilience and courage in one pivotal scene. In order to save her friends, she eats all of the drugged candy. This causes her to quickly overdose and fall into a near-death state. It is one of the most selfless sacrifices in the One Piece series, and it was made by a nine-year-old girl.
Chimney
Water 7 has introduced many interesting characters with strange designs, and Chimney is one of them. Along with her pet cat, Chimney somehow manages to participate in every major plot development without taking the spotlight away from the main cast. Despite this, she still plays a very important role in Enies Lobby.
Chimney is one of the bravest girls in the series, accompanying the Straw Hats during the Enies Lobby raid. Whether it was her bravery or her naivety, she never stopped smiling throughout the entire event. With her help, Luffy was able to catch up to Spandam, Lucci, and Robin before it was too late.
Toko
Despite her small role, Toko is an important part of the main storyline of Wano. A victim of Kaidou's brutal rule over the country, she is a prime example of the brutality of the conflict. Her suffering helps motivate both the Straw Hats and the samurai in their rebellion against the Beasts Pirates.
Toko also happens to have connections with many influential figures such as Shimotsuki Yasuie and Kouzuki Hiyori. It is through them that she is able to help others with small things. For example, she helped take care of Zoro after he was attacked by Killer. Although her contributions were small, she influenced many events in Wano.
Kurozumi Tama
Tama is one of the first people Luffy befriends, and she does so through food. Even though she doesn't have enough to eat herself, she is willing to share what little she has with Luffy. It is through her that Luffy is able to learn more about Ace's adventures and understand the damage Kaidou has caused.
With his Devil Fruit powers, Tama can tame any animal or beast by feeding them one of his Kibi Dango, even those who have eaten Zoan Devil Fruits. This is useful when traveling across the country, but it was especially important during the Onigashima raid. Without Tama, the Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance would never have been able to defeat the overwhelming force of the Beasts Pirates.
