Step 6: Click Windows 8 or 7 from the drop-down list.

2. Increase the size of the paging file (Pagefile) or virtual memory in Windows

3. Add gta-vc.exe to the DEP list

The cause of GTA Vice City crash on PC can also be caused by the new gta-vc.exe executable file that is not compatible with the built-in security mechanism in Windows called Data Execution Prevention (DEP). If you have DEP enabled, you'll need to create an exception for Vice City.

Step 5: Click the Add button and add the gta-vc.exe file . Finally click Apply.

4. Update the graphics driver

Outdated graphics drivers are possibly the most common cause of GTA Vice City crashes. So you can try updating graphic driver to solve the problem.

Step 1: Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box , then type devmgmt.msc and press OK .
