What is Driver Talent?

Computers are complex machines. There are many intricate parts and components that work together to make them work. The drivers needed to make these parts work are equally important. Any computer user can attest to the difficulties that outdated drivers can cause.

Driver Talent Features

Installing Driver Talent is an easy process. Once you have downloaded the installer for the software, all you have to do is click on the file, click on the options provided and the installation process will begin immediately. The installation takes only a few seconds. The installation process is an example of the speed and efficiency of the entire software.

Once the software is installed, the first thing the user will see is a black window with a scan button in the center. There are also three other buttons below that. The interface is clean and easy to understand, but it seems to only be available when you first launch the software. The actual interface has a column with several tabs on the left side of the window.

1. The first tab is Driver Status , where users can scan their computer for faulty drivers, download updates, and deploy them.
2. Second is the Rescue Center where users can backup, restore, and uninstall drivers. The tool can also create system restore points, but this feature is only available in the Pro version.
3. The third tab is Peripheral Drivers and as the name suggests, this is where you can update drivers for peripheral accessories like USB and printers.
4. The fourth tab is Pre-download Drivers , where users can pre-download their most updated driver versions.
5. The last two tabs are the Windows Assistant and Settings tab .

There are a few useful programs/tools in Windows Assistant. Conqueror Live, which requires additional software to work (it will notify you before downloading and installing additional software), can help you boost your computer's performance and fix some common DLL file problems.

The Hardware Detection feature will display basic computer system information and hardware information. Driver Talent also supports checking if your hardware supports VR. Audio Repair is a built-in tool that allows you to find common audio problems. WPS Office Premium is a sponsored program that offers a complete Office suite including Word, Excel, Presentation, and PDF to Word for free. From the final Settings tab , you can customize the software to your needs.

Pro version vs free version

Driver Talent has a Pro version, as mentioned above. What is the difference between the free version and the Pro version and is it worth paying extra for? The Pro version has some additional features that are not available in the free version, but all the essential features are available in the free version. The free version can scan, backup, download and install drivers, and if that is all you intend to use Driver Talent for, then you can use the free version.

On the other hand, the Pro version can preload drivers, create restore points, etc. You definitely get more features, but they are not important or necessary.

In short, Driver Talent is a simple yet powerful driver manager. The tool performs its promised functions with great speed and efficiency. The free version is enough for those who just need a driver manager, but the Pro version also has features that can be useful. Overall, this is a good program.
