According to Notebookcheck website, the month before its launch, Dell Inspiron 11z is offered on its website for $ 399, about 7.2 million. But over the weekend, Dell suddenly raised prices to 524 USD, equivalent to 9.4 million, then only a few hours later adjusted to 449 USD (8 million). According to a Dell representative, the price of Inspiron 11z increased by $ 50 because it will use a LED screen.

Dell Inspiron 11z is listed by Dell in the ultraportable laptop segment using a power-saving CULV (Consumer ultra low voltage) processor, not a netbook, and a replacement for the Dell Mini 12. This model is located between Mini 10 netbooks and popular Inspiron 13 laptops. Inspiron 11z is less than 2.5 cm thick, weighs only about 1.35 kg.

Inspiron 11z's configuration is not much different from standard netbooks, including 1.2 GHz Intel Celeron 723 processor (40% faster processing speed than Intel Atom N270 1.66 GHz), RAM 2 GB, 250 GB hard drive.

Currently Inspiron 11z uses 11.6-inch TLF WLED screen, HD resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, on integrated Intel GS45 graphics.
