Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas accepts cheat words during normal gameplay on PC. Type a code directly on the keyboard without opening the pause menu or a console. The codes below are for PC; console editions use button sequences.

Create a separate manual save first. Cheats can disable achievements in Definitive Edition, and several pedestrian, gang, traffic, or riot effects may remain in a saved game. Use cheats for a temporary session, then reload the clean save before continuing the story.

BAGUVIX is often called �infinite health,� but it does not protect CJ from every hazard. Drowning, large falls, explosions, and certain scripted damage can still be fatal.

Use vehicle-spawn codes in a large open area. A plane, tank, or truck can become stuck or damage CJ if the surroundings are too tight.

The invisible-cars code does not work in Definitive Edition. �Cars float away when hit� is not a big-head or �large boxes� effect, and ALLCARSGOBOOM explodes vehicles rather than making them fly.

Do not save after enabling riots, hostile pedestrians, gang control, or theme cheats. These can alter NPC behavior needed by missions, and entering the code again may not fully repair the game state.

If a code does not work

Enter the code during active single-player gameplay, not in a menu or cutscene.
Check the spelling. Capitalization usually does not matter, but every letter does.
Confirm that you are using a PC word code rather than a console sequence.
Some effects were removed from Definitive Edition for technical reasons.
Reload a clean save instead of testing several world-changing cheats in your main file.
