Chests in Genshin Impact and their rewards

There are chests in Genshin Impact and they are scattered throughout the map. According to different levels, they will have different spawn frequencies, and the rewards in chests will also be different.

Chests in Genshin Impact

Ordinary chests

The rewards include: 

1. 0 ~ 2 Gemstone
2. 10 ~ 20 Exp for explorer
3. 1 ~ 3 Seals / lava
4. Mora
5. Random weapon, Holy Relic, Exp character

This is the type of chest that you will most often see in Tayvat, often this will appear randomly and some chests will require the player to complete a challenge to open it.

Once opened, they will randomly respawn in different places on the map after a period of time. Chests are usually protected by monsters or asking for a challenge will give you 2 Gemstones.

High-class chests

The rewards include:

1. 2 ~ 5 Gemstone
2. 20 ~ 30 Exp adventure
3. 3 ~ 4 Seals / lava
4. Mora
5. Random weapon, Holy Relic, Exp character

Unlike normal chests, Premium Chests are usually locked, and players need to fight monsters or go through some challenge to unlock them. Some need the Seelies to guide them.

Premium chests can appear in certain battle challenging areas. Along with that they can appear in the 2nd time challenges. In addition, high-level chests will respawn in any number of locations on the map after a certain amount of time.

Super chests

The rewards include:

1. 5 Raw Thach
2. 30 Exp explorer
3. 4 ~ 10 Seals / Lava
4. Mora
5. Random weapon, Holy Relic, Exp character .

One of the more difficult chests on the map to find, which often require players to make difficult puzzles to open.

In some world missions, players can also earn premium chests. Until now we don't know if super chests will reappear.

Rare Chests

The rewards include:

1. 10 ~ 40 Stone
2. 30 ~ 60 Exp expedition
3. 4 ~ 10 Seals / lava
4. Mora
5. Random weapon, Holy Relic, character EXP .

Rare chests are also rare chests that are difficult to find on the map, and can only be unlocked by solving puzzles with extreme difficulty.

You can find rare chests in the relic after completing certain world quests. According to some gamers, the "re-export" time of the Super Chest is about 3 weeks.

Special chests

Found in the North National Bank of the port of Liyue, the reward in this chest is 200,000 Mora. The appearance of this chest resembles a super chest and can only be collected once.

Chests cooldown in Genshin Impact

The respawn issue of the above chests is still a controversial issue in the Genshin Impact player community. Chests usually have a 3-day re-export period, with more advanced chests this can take up to a week or 2 weeks. Rare chests can last up to 1 month. We don't yet have an exact figure on how long it will take for the chests to return.
