At the meeting, delegates agreed to choose July 27 as the National War Day. Since then every year on this occasion, President Ho Chi Minh sent letters, visiting gifts, encouraged and reminded everyone to be grateful and wholeheartedly help war invalids and martyrs' families. Especially, after the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the Government and President Ho Chi Minh paid more attention to war invalids and martyrs.
From July 1955, our Party and State decided to change the National War Day to become War Invalids - Martyrs Day to recognize the great sacrifices of the people and soldiers throughout the country for the victory of the entire people. clan.
