A recording word is enough to divide the Internet world in half, Yanny or Laurel, which side do you follow
A recording taken from the Vocabulary.com page has made the Internet world controversial because of the words pronounced Yanny or Laurel.
A new debate on the Internet exploded after a high school student in Georgia (USA) posted a video on Reddit and asked if people heard Yanny or Laurel's pronunciation. After that, Cloe Feldman was a "star" on YouTube, also posted votes on her Twitter and quickly received hundreds of thousands of comments and shares.
Yanny or Laurel quickly became the topic of discussion not only on Iinternet, the popular television programs, but even White House employees were divided because of this recording. After listening to the video, US President Donald Trump joked that he only heard "covfefe" - the word he wrote on a Twitter message in the middle of last year, the word did not exist, making the social network waving because of unknown is the code or because he typed it wrongly.
Marc Tinkler, co-founder of Vocabulary.com, said the sound was recorded at the end of 2007 and was pronounced by a New York opera singer. This person also recorded about 36,000 other words. And the above recording is for Laurel - laurels.
The controversy about Yanny or Laurel reminds many people of the famous white or dark blue dress in 2015. It was when BuzzFeed announced that the dress was produced by Roman Originals and its color was dark blue. then the argument is over.
