Vivo S6 5G launched: Exynos 980, 4 64MP cameras, 4500mAh battery
Recently, Vivo has launched the Vivo S6 5G phone through an event reported live in China. Although only a mid-range device, but this smartphone is equipped with super-fast 5G network connection, impressive camera and Exynos 980 processor from Samsung (seen on the Vivo X30 and X30 Pro duo).
Vivo S6 5G features a curved 3D glass back, with two color options: Purple-Blue and Light Blue. The device weighs 181 grams, much lighter than the previous generation. In addition, Vivo also replaced the "diamond" camera module on Vivo S5 with a circular camera with a simpler design, including 4 sensors and an LED flash placed just below.
Specifications and features
Inside, the Vivo S6 5G carries the power of the Exynos 980 mid-range 5G processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of internal memory. It has a fingerprint sensor below the screen, supports dual SA / NSA mode and has a dual SIM variant.
The device uses a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen, supports Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), extremely wide color gamut of 103% NTSC and high contrast up to 1200000: 1. Besides, it also has integrated Multi-Turbo technology, which allows to optimize hardware performance, heat dissipation more powerful and bring the best gaming experience to the user.
The Vivo S6 5G comes with a 4500mAh battery, which is larger than the 4100mAh battery on the S5. However, surprisingly this phone only supports 18W charging technology. If you do not know, even though it is old, Vivo S5 still supports 22.5W fast charging, so it is quite disappointing to see Vivo downgrade fast charging technology on the new model.
Regarding connectivity, the Vivo S6 5G retains the dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack, supports Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1 and uses the USB Type-C connector. In particular, the device also has Hi-Res Audio high-resolution audio certification.
Speaking of photography, the Vivo S6 5G is equipped with a 4-camera system placed in a circular module on the back. The rear camera cluster of the device includes a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor with 4cm close-up capabilities.
The most prominent highlight on the Vivo S6 5G is the front-facing selfie camera, which has the same 32MP resolution as its predecessor but with a larger f / 2.08 aperture. This camera cluster supports 6 new beauty modes, selfie at night and can use the screen to make an LED flash when taking selfies in low light environments.
Price and release time
As expected, the Vivo S6 5G will officially go on sale in China on April 3, with prices starting from 2698 yuan (about 9 million) for 8GB RAM + 128GB memory version. Meanwhile, the more advanced version with 8GB RAM + 256GB of memory is sold at a retail price of 2998 yuan .
