Today the entire Apple store in China will reopen
As the corona virus continues to spread in the United States and many other countries, Apple says it is preparing to reopen all its retail stores in mainland China. All 42 Apple stores in the country will be reopened on Friday, local time. Apple has confirmed this information with Bloomberg.
However, 39 of these stores still operate only for a limited time, only 3 Apple Stores in Wuxi, Chaoyang Joy City and at Tahoe Plaza will have time to operate as before.
In January, Apple had to close some of its stores in China and by early February all its stores were in China. When the spread of corona virus in China began to subside, Apple reopened several stores there and by the end of February, more than half of its retail locations in the country were reopened.
Along with the closure of its stores in China, Apple also announced that it will not meet its revenue forecasts for this quarter, caused by global supply tightness as well as demand. with Apple products falling low in China.
Chinese government data shows that in February, Apple shipped less than 500,000 iPhones in the country, down 60% from the same period last year.
Now the number of infected people and deaths has been steadily decreasing in China over the past few weeks, and it seems that the worst is over for this country.
In addition to Apple's announcement of reopening stores in China, Terry Gou - president of Foxconn, the main equipment assembler for Apple - said manufacturing operations are returning to their factories. in China at a rate that "exceeded expectations" after a long delay of corona virus outbreaks that disrupted supply.
