How to create creative GIFs
Step 1 : Download and install the software.
- You can download the latest version of GIF Movie Gear here.
- Installation: It's quite simple, just follow the instructions.
Step 2 : Launch the software and select Insert Frames to choose the image you want to insert.
Step 3 : After selecting the images, drag and drop them to arrange their order.
Besides the common tools found in any animation software such as Crop, Resize, Rotate, Timing, etc. , Gif Movie Gear also possesses its own unique tools, namely a set of tools to reduce the file size of the exported animations:
- Reduce Colors : Reduce color intensity
- Optimize : Image optimization
- Thin (Reduce Frame Count): Reduce the number of frames.
As we know, animations are made up of multiple still images stacked on top of each other, so animation files are usually quite large compared to still images. However, with the toolset of Gif Movie Gear, this is no longer a concern. You can go to the Animation tab to choose the appropriate tool.
Step 4 : Adjust the animation speed. Go to Animation/Timing to set the parameters.
A dialog box appears:
- All frame delays : Select the time delay between images. Click the blue arrow to proceed.
Step 5 : Finally, simply select "Save as" to save the image you just created. And here is the result.
