After a long wait, Sony has officially revealed the detailed configuration of the PS5 - the latest Playstation generation will launch in the shopping season later this year.

Accordingly, PS5 will be equipped with 8-core CPU architecture of AMD Zen 2, which has a clock (oscillation) in the 3.5Ghz range. In terms of graphics processing, PS5 will use a custom GPU based on AMD's RDNA 2 architecture. With a clock speed of 2.23Ghz and 36 compute units, this GPU will give PS5 the computing power of about 10.28 teraflops - more than enough power to run games with terrible graphics at 4K resolution. .

In particular, AMD's GPU will also support Ray-tracing technology, similar to Nvidia's RTX graphics card series on PCs, according to Sony's confirmation.
