Smart tips when flying that everyone needs to know
The travel season is here and the plane is the most comfortable means of transportation. The following tips for flying from people who often travel by this means of transportation may be useful to you.
Always bring slippers
At some point, you'll definitely want to take your shoes off to let your feet air out. However, no matter how comfortable they are, other passengers may not appreciate seeing your bare feet.
Luckily, there's a handy solution—just bring disposable slippers. They're comfortable enough to wear on the plane. And when your flight is over, you can throw them away.
Bathroom floors are full of germs, so it's best to leave things that happen on the plane alone — you don't want to carry them with you to your hotel or straight into your home.
Don't drink water on the plane
You need to stay hydrated when flying, but it's a good idea to bring your own water on board. While "airplane" water is supposed to be safe, it's difficult to thoroughly clean water containers, so there's a lot of bacteria.
This also applies to tea and coffee. So it's best to stick to bottled water, and abstain from other drinks. The only thing allowed is ice. Simply because it can be delivered to the plane in a pre-made form. Although it's better not to risk it — in some cases it's also made on the spot.
Bring a towel
If you want to use the air vents to provide yourself with fresh air during the flight, don't be lazy to wipe them before turning them on. And it's best to wipe them with alcohol wipes instead of regular wipes.
Also, direct the air flow towards your thighs, not directly towards your face. This way, you will be away from harmful dust and bacteria in the air. Remember that it is much easier to catch a cold on a plane than on the ground, so it is best to take care of yourself.
In addition to cleaning the vents, be sure to wipe down the trays as well. Trays aren't always cleaned properly between flights, and people do some pretty scary things to them.
For example, some parents use the tray to change their baby's diaper. And then, where do the "waste products" go? Well, they will be put in the pocket on the back of the front seat, so don't forget to clean the tray.
But that's not all! Some passengers like to travel with their little dogs. And sometimes they don't put them on their laps, but on the table in front of them. Can you imagine how many bacteria are on the surface of the food tray?
Be careful with bags on the seats
If you forget something on a plane, chances are it's something you left in the seat back pocket in front of you. Electronic devices, including laptops, tablets, and phones, are often left there.
People forget books and notebooks there too. Or maybe something a little more serious. Like passports. That's why you should check your carry-on and all the most important things right before you leave the plane.
Be polite to airline staff
Our rude and disrespectful attitude may not lead to anything bad for ourselves, and on a plane, it can become an unnecessary headache.
For example, even at check-in, you may be deliberately seated next to a family with small children. And the flight attendants will not be able to help you in any way. At the same time, if you are polite and friendly with the airline staff, who knows — you may even be moved to a higher class seat or a more direct flight.
Also, remember: if you fly fairly frequently, in addition to earning miles, you have a list of all the airline employees you can get to know in advance.
And if you have always been a good passenger and have tipped the staff in the past, then you will most likely get better service next time. But if you are rude and constantly annoying, this will be recorded in your personal account and you will not get any good treatment.
Choose a seat at the back of the plane
There's no doubt that choosing a seat at the front will get you off the plane faster at your destination. And you won't have to worry as much about turbulence. However, if you choose a seat further back, you may get much better service.
According to a flight attendant, some of them ignore requests from the front of the plane. Mainly because they often lack many small things like pillows, earplugs, toothbrushes, etc. When they give them to the front rows, they inadvertently show all the items to others, which can increase the demand of other passengers, even if they do not need any of these items in the first place.
