Step 1 : Start the installed virtual machine. Click the Start button to begin.
Step 2 : After booting into Windows, in the horizontal menu for VirtualBox, select Devices and then Insert Guest Additions CD Image.
Here, Guest Additions is a VirtualBox tool that, when installed on a virtual machine's operating system, acts as a device driver system providing several advanced features.
A new window will appear, click Next.

Select Continue Anyway
Next, restart the virtual machine.
Step 3 : After successful startup and installation, on the virtual machine, select Devices --> Shard folder Settings
Step 4 : Click on the icon as shown below.
Step 5 : A new window will appear. Here, you check the options to set the permissions for sharing files. In the "Folder path" field, specify the folder and files you want to share from the physical machine to the virtual machine, then click OK.

Step 6 : After the startup is complete, go to Computer. Here, you will see that drives, folders, and files E and F are shared from the physical machine to the virtual machine.
