Redmi K30 Pro is only equipped with a 60Hz screen
Earlier this week, Xiaomi officially launched the Redmi K30 Pro - its latest smartphone at an event held in China. This is considered a successor to its predecessor Redmi K20 Pro last year, with a powerful hardware configuration with a high-end Snapdragon 865 processor, 4-megapixel 64-megapixel system and 30W fast charging.

The phone also retains the AMOLED screen seen on the K20 Pro, instead of switching to the same LCD screen as the standard Redmi K30. However, the Pro variant lacks an important feature, which is a high frequency scan screen.
If you do not know, the screen of the Redmi K30 Pro only has a 60Hz refresh rate, even lower than the 120Hz LCD screen fitted on the K30. This surprised fans and raised the question, why did Xiaomi's sub-brand decide to use a 60Hz display on the K30 Pro?

Today, Lu Weibing, general manager of the Redmi brand, posted a new article on Weibo to answer this question. According to him, the company built a complete specification sheet for both the Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 Pro 10 months ago, so they don't want to make any last-minute changes.
In addition, this is also an important decision to retain the full-screen design, light weight and impressive battery life for the Redmi K30 Pro, because the use of a high refresh rate screen of 90Hz or 120Hz will affect. A lot to battery life.

Moreover, Lu Weibing also said that even using a lower 60Hz refresh rate screen, the Redmi K30 Pro is still a top device because it is equipped with Samsung's AMOLED panel, touch sampling rate. 180Hz, supports HDR10 +, has low blue light certification from TUV Rheinland and maximum brightness up to 1200nit.
