When logging into Messenger on another device, you'll need to set up a PIN to access your end-to-end encrypted messages. Below are instructions on how to enable Messenger end-to-end encryption.

Step 1:

On the Messenger app interface, tap the three horizontal lines icon in the upper left corner. Next, on the new interface, tap the gear icon .

Step 2:

To access the Messenger app options, tap on Privacy & Security settings . Then tap on End-to-End Encrypted Chats . You will then see the option for Messenger's end-to-end encryption; tap on Secure Storage .

 

Step 3:

We will tap on Enable Secure Storage to turn on Messenger's end-to-end encryption feature. In this new interface, you will have the option to create your own Messenger end-to-end encryption PIN or use the 40-character code provided by Messenger.

The interface will display a 6-character PIN of your choice.
