If a manual update installation is required, users can do so from their paired iPhone. The device will automatically restart when the process is complete.
Step 1 : Open the Watch app on your paired iPhone, tap the My Watch tab , and select General Settings .
Step 2 : Click on Update Software and then click Agree to accept the terms and conditions.
Step 3 : If an update is available, scroll down and tap Install Now . Enter your passcode if prompted.
To complete the update, users need to ensure their Apple Watch is plugged into a charger, has at least 50% battery charge, and is within range of a connected iPhone via Wi-Fi. Note that once the installation process begins, users should not restart or disconnect the watch from the charger until it is complete.

Users can also update their watch without a paired iPhone on hand. Simply connect your Apple Watch to Wi-Fi, place it on a charger, and follow the steps below. Leave the device charging while the update completes. It will automatically restart when finished.
