How to unlock Spotify's Snake game.
Many people primarily use Spotify on Android devices with a Premium plan, mainly to listen to music with friends. However, recently some have also started using the app on iPhones, but with a free account. That's how they discovered this hidden game. Unfortunately, it seems you can't play this game on Android devices, even with a Premium account. This little game is also not available on the desktop or web app.
Anyway, to activate the game, you need one or more playlists. The longer the playlist, the better, as we'll see in the next section. Open the Spotify app and go to the Your Library tab , then tap Playlists at the top.
Choose a playlist from here. Or, tap the + button in the upper right corner to create a new playlist. Select Playlist and add your songs from there.
On the playlist page, press the +Add button to expand the list of songs. The article recommends adding as many different songs from different artists as possible, rather than songs from the same artist or the same album.
After you've added all the songs, tap the three dots below the album cover.

First of all, the game mechanics remain the same: Guide the snake to the next food source, in this case the album cover tile, by swiping up/down or left/right on the screen. Each time you touch a tile, the snake grows longer, making it increasingly difficult to control.
While retaining the classic formula, Spotify has added a musical twist to this game, making it truly enjoyable. Each tile displays the album cover of the song currently playing. When the snake touches a tile, the playlist skips and the next song starts playing while a new tile with the album cover appears on the board. The snake gradually grows longer from all the album covers you've collected along the way. Therefore, including various genres of music in the playlist is a good idea, as it will make your snake look more interesting and the background music more diverse.
Each time the snake swallows a new tile, the background will change color, based on the cover art of the next song. If you like a song, you can easily add it to your Liked Songs playlist by tapping the + button in the upper left corner.
