Method 1: Simple Check
Step 1: To check your hard drive, right-click on the My Computer icon in older versions of Windows or This PC in newer versions of Windows, and select Manage .

Step 2: In the Computer Management window, click on Storage in the left-hand menu, then select Disk Management . A window displaying a list of drives on your device will appear; right-click on each drive and select Properties .

Step 3: In the drive information window, click the General tab to see the name of your hard drive.

Step 4: Copy the hard drive name and search it using any online search engine. From the results, you will quickly know whether your hard drive is an SSD or an HDD.

Method 2: Using Windows PowerShell
Step 1:  Hold down the Shift key and right- click on an empty space on the desktop, then select "Open PowerShell Window here" .

Step 2: Next, enter the command `get-physicaldisk` and press Enter .
