How to check Facebook personal data is shared with Cambridge Analytica
Recently Facebook has started to send notifications to News Feed users if they are one of the 87 million users collected by Cambridge Analytica. But at the present time not everyone receives this notice because the number of people is too large. Therefore, Facebook has opened a separate item on Help Center so that users can check to see if they and their friends are affected by this leak. Test results will always be available to users.
Click on the official Facebook link here to check it out.
In the section Was My Information Shared? (Is my information shared?) Facebook will give you an answer. If you receive a notice like the image below, you can be assured that your personal information and your friends are not leaked. If you receive another message, you need to review your account and remind your friends.
Affected accounts will receive a request to change settings for Apps and Websites and manually remove unnecessary applications.
After scandalizing the data leak of more than 87 million users, Facebook has launched many security policies to prevent other Facebook applications that may misrepresent user data in the future.
